Coconut Oil, mechanically pressed
Coconut Oil (INCI: Cocos Nucifera Oil) is extracted by mechanical pressing and filtration from the albumen of the coconut (Cocos nucifera). Lotus Lab offers it in professional bulk for cosmetic manufacturers, soap makers, and hair care laboratories.
An oil rich in medium-chain saturated fatty acids
Its composition is dominated by lauric acid (45-55%) and myristic acid (16-21%), two medium-chain fatty acids characteristic of coconut oil. Solid or semi-solid at room temperature (melting point 24-26°C), it becomes liquid and fluid above this temperature.
Cosmetic formulation applications
Widely used in soap making for its creamy lather, it is also incorporated into hair care (masks, treatment oils), body balms, and emollient formulations. Its high saponification index (248-265) makes it a sought-after base in cold process soap making.
Bulk and private label sales
Coconut Oil is sold in professional bulk with a deliberately low minimum order quantity, to remain accessible to developing brands and laboratories. Lotus Lab also offers a private label / white label service: manufacturing and packaging under your own brand.
